Kehadiran ragam mural yang berada di dinding pertokoan membuat peunayong yang identik dengan kawasan perdagangan menjelma sebagai daerah wisata sejarah dan seni.<\/p>\n<p>Tema mural yang diangkatpun sangat khas, yakni tentang sejarah peunayong dan Aceh pada umumnya. Total ada 23 titik mural yang nantinya akan berisi lukisan dengan tema keberagaman, bahaya narkoba, dan kebersihan.<\/p>\n<p>Untuk membuat mural ini, panitia mendatangkan pelukis Zulkipli Muhammad Sanie atau yang lebih dikenal dengan sebutan Zul MS.<\/p>\n<p>Denny selaku ketua Tim Mural mengatakan kegiatan ini merupakan program Geuchik Peunayong, T. Sabri Harun, S. Ag untuk membuat Gampong Peunayong menjadi gampong wisata. \u201cSelama ini &nbsp;semua wisatawan yang datang ke Aceh hanya mengetahui objek wisata, seperti Masjid Raya Baiturrahman, Museum Tsunami Aceh, dan objek wisata lainnya. Ikonik mural ini nantinya akan seperti di Kota Tua yang ada Penang, Malaysia. Pada tema mural ini kita akan angkat kembali sejarah peunayong\u201d, katanya.<\/p>\n<p>Aceh dulu terkenal dengan daerah penghasil rempah-rempah. Maka kita angkat lagi sejarah Aceh, Khususnya Peunayong ini melalui mural. Dari total 23 titik mural ini akan dibagi dalam tiga zona yaitu Zona A yang berada ditengah-tengah kota.
